Scattered Thoughts

My grandfather passed away Wednesday morning.

It was both expected and not. He has been on oxygen since last year and has been in and out of the hospital. Yet only a few days before we were playing cards together. I visited him on Monday morning and while he certainly didn't look great (he was back in the hospital) he was able to talk and smile a little.

And now he's gone. I know he has gone to somewhere better, but it is still hard.

I am mostly trying not to think about it. I am doing alright. 

I wasn't sure I was going to say it here. I am not searching for comfort. I just feel like everything has come to a pause, and I wanted that to be known, even if it's not noticeable from the outside.

Yet time keeps rolling, rolling, rolling on.
